Longshore Drift Handmade Mug
£35.00
Single fired stoneware mug with shades of browns, greens and blues. I see old wooden pilings on a deserted beach, reflected in the water or wet sand.
‘Longshore drift’ is the sideways movement of sediment along the shoreline.

Description
A natural feeling handmade mug in earthy and watery tones. Perfect for tea, hot chocolate, frothy coffee or mulled wine.
Brown tenmoku glaze inside and on the top section. Bluey grey glaze outside with flowing greeny copper coloured vertical stripes. These mugs are made of a white stoneware clay which is visible on and around the base.
Thrown by me on my kick-wheel and single fired to save energy.
8.5- 9 cm tall, 9.5-10 cm diameter
Please note all of my work is handmade and there will be slight variations in size, shapes, glaze colour and patterns but all within a theme. I encourage the slight unpredictability and fluctuations and delight in mismatched sets. Each piece is unique.
