Winter landscapes handmade mug on toasted clay

Description

A natural feeling hand-thrown mug in earthy tones. Perfect for tea, hot chocolate, frothy coffee or mulled wine. Bluey grey glaze inside and on the top section. Brown tenmoku glaze outside with rough coppery green coloured vertical stripes.

This mug is made of a toasted stoneware clay which is visible on and around the base. I also make these on white stoneware (see other products). On the toasted stoneware the glazes are a bit more warm, muted and mellow.

Single fired to save energy.

My mugs are roughly 8 cm tall, 9 cm diameter and 350ml capacity but please note all of my work is handmade and there will be slight variations in size, shapes, glaze colour and patterns but all within a theme. I encourage the slight unpredictability and fluctuations and delight in mismatched sets. Each piece is unique.
